Spending your time doing things you love makes you feel good. Doing things you enjoy helps your brain output higher endorphin levels. Endorphins are chemicals in the brain that increase your sense of well being. Remembering good memories also helps to increase our self-esteem. Things that we can do well are often repeated and these also lead to a more positive self-esteem.

When we spend time working on things that we do well, we tend to become stronger at that particular activity. Everyone likes to feel good about what they do and proud of the things they excel at. If build up your strengths, your inner self will also get stronger!

Your attitude will reflect the attitudes of the people you keep closest to you. When spending time with positive, energetic people, your own attitude will jump up to match theirs and you will be recharged with positive energy. So go ahead and invite over your close friends for a good laugh!

To base your self-esteem on another person or another person's ideas is not the way to raise yourself up. When you put negative thoughts onto someone else, this most often reflects your own deficiencies and downfalls. It is essential to trust yourself and your instincts. If you believe you can accomplish something, let yourself do it to the fullest. When you believe in yourself you are really giving yourself the ability to do it from deep in your heart. You can do it!

Focusing your thoughts on the things you want in your life keeps the energy of those things moving toward you. Albert Einstein determined all things are made of energy and energy attracts more of the same energy. It's important to remember this when moving forward in your life.

Affirmations work by believing. Instead of saying, "I want to be happy," say, "I am a happy person." Say it out loud everyday. Your brain will begin to reprogram and subconsciously you will believe this as the truth. These positive notes will help your self-esteem skyrocket.
